Training yard in Forres or on your site
Our training yard is in Forres IV36. On site training is available when suitable facilities and safe conditions can be provided by the client. NPORS training and testing can also be delivered on site when conditions are appropriate.
We travel up to 100 miles one way. A mileage charge applies. Longer distances are possible by individual agreement, based on location and schedule.

Requirements and eligibility
We keep requirements clear so you arrive prepared and the day runs smoothly.
Eligibility:
- Minimum age: 16 for novice routes
- Minimum age: 18 for experienced worker test routes
Experience rules:
- Novice full training
No previous experience required - Experienced Worker Test only
Previous experience required, 300 hours on the machine - NVQ route
Previous experience required, typically 1 to 1.5 years on the machine and an in date Trained Operator Card
- Language:
Training delivered in English. Other languages are possible with an interpreter, subject to agreement. - PPE required:
Hard hat, safety boots, hi vis, gloves. - Health and safety test:
CITB Health, Safety and Environment test passed within the last 2 years is required for NPORS with CSCS logo or NVQ routes where applicable.
Clear timelines, no guessing
NPORS timeline:
- Exam result is given immediately after the test
- Within 2 days the candidate receives confirmation that the application was submitted
- Within 7 to 10 days the candidate receives the card or certificate
LANTRA NVQ timeline:
- Exam result is given immediately after the test
- Within 7 to 10 days the candidate receives the NVQ pass certificate
- After a further 7 to 10 days the candidate receives the Blue Card
